Our bowels are complex organs and are made up of the large bowel (colon and rectum) and small bowel (small intestine). Both serve incredibly important functions for digestive health and are also hugely influential on all aspects of your health and well being.

Times are extremely tough at the moment – we appreciate that the global pandemic is taking it’s toll on every aspect of society. Bowel Research UK has been hit like all other charities and our fundraising has suffered throughout 2020.

Donating to our work would bring hope to people affected by bowel disease at a time when it is needed more than ever, with the coronavirus pandemic having ravaged NHS care and leaving many patients facing delayed treatment and tragically late diagnosis.

Bowel Research UK firmly believes that finding a cure for bowel cancer and effective treatments to mitigate, or entirely eradicate bowel cancer and bowel disease remains possible – but only if we continue to fund world-leading research and invest in our scientific and medical communities today.

We’re asking if you would go large for Bowel Research UK or go small…. either way would be greatly appreciated. If you can’t afford to donate at the moment then perhaps you would consider pledging your support and doing some fundraising for us when you are ready to do so?

Our unique ability to bring together the world’s leading scientists in bowel cancer and disease, NHS clinicians working on the front line, and crucially, expert patients and our patient focus groups means your money would make a real difference where it is needed the most.

You can find out about our life saving work by visiting our Research Hub.

Please help us spread the word by sharing the appeal on your social media channels.
