I have suffered from the inflammatory bowel disease Ulcerative Colitis for over 20 years, the last two years have become increasingly difficult to cope with and to function normally. The debilitating pain, fatigue, stress, sleepless nights, depression and the need to be near a toilet make it very difficult to work, keep appointments and commitments.
My personal struggle with UC and losing my mother earlier this year to Bowel Cancer (and my Grandmother years ago to he same disease) make raising funds into the research of Inflammatory Bowel diseases such as Ulcerative Colitis, Crohns Disease and Bowel Cancer an important cause.
Inflammatory bowel disease seems to be a taboo subject and sufferers seldom speak about it, the chances are you know someone suffering in silence is very likely, they are generally very reluctant and embarrassed to talk about it.
I would be very grateful if you would help me and The Teddies to raise as much as possible for this very important research.
