Debbie, 69

I saw 3 different GPs in my practice over 8 months with blood in the stool. I was 65. I wasn’t examined by two who diagnosed IBS or haemorrhoids and the other said it was a “skin tag”. Finally diagnosed stage 3 rectal cancer by routine test. So maybe GPs need a reminder. The photo is me in the middle of treatment. 4 months gone, 4 to go! Oh boy. That was 4 years ago tomorrow!
