As I am recovering from surgery I thought it would be a good idea to set up my fund raising page.nMany of you are aware I was diagnosed with cancer last October.nIt was picked up on the FIT test that arrives on your door mat when you reach a certain age! For me this saved my life as I was asymptomatic so you can imagine the huge shock not only to me but my family also, especially as we lost my darling Tom to cancer 5 years ago.nThe FIT came back positive, scans and test that same week, the following week I was told I had rectal cancer! Stage 2 rectal cancer was the diagnosis nI underwent a Low anterior reaction in November (Robotic!) resulting in a ileostomy, whom I called Myrtle, moaning to be precise as she kept grumbling, but I did get to like her. n12th July this year I underwent a reversal and am now recovering. Feeling really well and hoping to be back on track soon.nI owe Bowel Research UK for saving my life, so this challenge is to raise money to support their cause in funding new treatments and potential cures.nnThanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.nDonating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.nbowel
